Delete your data
Last updated: 21 July 2026
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing on our side to delete. Sight Buddy has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server operated by Drophouse Ltd. We do not collect, store, or receive your images, audio, text, or usage data.
Everything the App holds is on your own device, and you control all of it. Here is how to remove each part.
Remove everything: uninstall the App
Uninstalling Sight Buddy removes all of its data from your device, including your settings, the app's saved copy of your OpenAI API key, the record that you accepted the Terms of Use, and any downloaded voice-recognition model files. Nothing is left behind on a server of ours, because there is none.
Uninstalling does not touch your OpenAI account: the API key itself stays active there until you revoke it yourself (see below).
Remove your OpenAI API key
- Open the Sight Buddy app.
- Open Settings.
- Choose OpenAI API key.
- Tap Remove saved key.
Your key is stored encrypted on your device only and is never sent to us. Removing it disables all AI features immediately.
This deletes only the app's copy of the key — not the key itself. The key belongs to your OpenAI account and remains active there whether or not Sight Buddy is installed. If you want to revoke or delete the key itself, do that in your OpenAI account at platform.openai.com/api-keys. That is between you and OpenAI — we never receive your key, so we could not deactivate it for you even if you asked.
Stop crash reports
The only information that ever reaches us is an anonymous crash report if the App crashes — a stack trace, your device model, your operating system version, and the App version. It contains no images, no audio, no text, and nothing identifying you.
- Open the Sight Buddy app.
- Open Settings.
- Under Privacy, turn off “Send crash reports”.
Existing crash reports are held by Google Firebase Crashlytics and expire under Google's retention period, typically 90 days. Because these reports are anonymous and carry no account or identifier linking them to you, we are generally unable to locate the reports belonging to a specific person.
Data you have sent to OpenAI
If you added your own OpenAI API key and used an AI feature, that request went directly from your device to OpenAI under your own OpenAI account. We never received it and hold no copy. You can review and delete that data through your own OpenAI account, under OpenAI's privacy policy.
Data from earlier beta versions (v1.x)
Earlier beta versions used a cloud AI service routed through a server of ours, with a pseudonymous device identifier, usage quotas, and an anonymous feedback channel. That service has been shut down and all data it held has been permanently deleted. There is nothing left to request.
